Over the past few weeks, things have been picking up again, especially in south Kihei and the Wailea/Makena area, where several high end homes and condos have gone into escrow.  As I have contended all along (one of the reasons I moved my business here to begin with), Maui seems to be traveling to the beat of its' own drummer, and while sales had slowed for awhile, we seem to be getting right back on track again, in spite of the fact that we are "off season".  Our fabulous Wailea Beach Villas project (oceanfront, directly below the Shops at Wailea) has finally been completed, and we are seeing the first few re-sales come to market.  If you're not familiar with this property, it's 98 units of high-end Penthouse Condos and Villas built strictly for the most discriminating, to be used as primary residence, second homes, or vacation rentals.  Views are breathtaking from many of the units.  I have included the three units that are currently available in this month's Featured Properties below.  Once more units come on line, my guess is that they will be starting at about $2.5 to $3 million.
