I realize that this October newsletter is coming in just under the wire, but you may remember that I was traveling until the 24th of the month. Over a four-week period, I was able to spend time with family and friends in Santa Cruz, CA, West Hartford, CT, and Butzberg, Switzerland. Switzerland was gorgeous, Santa Cruz a bit foggy, and W.Hartford very rainy, but all in all, a great trip!
Although it's hard to really see a trend developing here, inventories do seem to be creeping up a bit while average days on market are extending somewhat (avg. 98 DOM for condos, compared to 85 DOM this time last year). Speaking with my Realtor friends in the Bay area, it appears that the same thing is happening there. Here on Maui, we typically do see more listings as we approach our busier winter season; we'll have to wait until next spring to see if there's any significant swing in the market.
This month, rather than featuring specific listings, I am featuring the increased selections in one of Wailea's most popular oceanfront complexes--Wailea Elua Village! This prestigious, steps-to-the-beach gated community is positioned between the Renaissance and Marriot Hotels and boasts fabulous ocean views from most units, some including a 1-car garage.
